Anybody try these ? What do you think ? I received one from them by way of promo. I love the damn thing. I have been using JazzIIIs' for about a year and love them. In fact, I can't play with a regular pick anymore. The V-pick is close to a JazzIII, but fatter and sharper. It has a smoother release from the string. I want to order more, but I don't know which one they sent me. :aww:

I dig em. I can switch back and forth between any thicker pick, but the v-pick is my go-to. I think http://www.v-picks.com is their site and have pictures of all their offerings.

Yeah, I think the one they sent me was a Shredder. I am going to order some more. They are expensive for a pick, but worth it.

I think they feel cool when you pick in that they are very fast but I hate the chirp they make and it IMHO makes the tone of single too thick to my ears.

I will stick with my cool picks  V-picks are $$$

+1

Mark have you tried coolpicks yet? I tried them out when someone suggested them on here and have been using them since

I think I must me the only person in the world that dislikes V picks. I found them to be very uncomfortable and way too thick...

I know they have a lot of different styles, but I haven't found one that suits me yet either.

I asked him to send me their model that was closest to the Jazz III. What I received wasn't even remotely similar

I used Cool Picks 1.5mm for ages now.. but recently i ran out so i had a pack of 50 Planet Waves Delrin .99mm lying around and i have actually been enjoying these more.

I found that the Cool Picks seem to be much brighter sounding, like every note seems to chirp where the Planet Waves pick doesnt. Im gettin smoother tone with the Planet Waves pick..

I think i just go through phases of liking one pick more than others!

Man, I got bowls full of picks, I'm always trying something different out - I can't seem to pick one and stick with it  !

i have been using jazz III's but some days with really fast single note stuff it just seems to get hung up. any "regular" pick is too rounded for the angle i hold a pick. it slides on the strings. well, for real fast iced earth type riffs.
i'm gonna order a couple tomorrow. the small pointed and the medium pointed. i gotta check them out. I have been having a pick crisis lately. i can't get one that fits all the time  . i dont mind $4 a pick if it ends up being the shit.

I've been using V-Picks for the past... 2 years or so now? I used to use Dunlop 3.0mm picks (bass picks?) and then randomly came across the V-Picks and decided what the hell and gave them a shot. I have never looked back since, nore do I look at any other picks!

I am loving this pick more and more. I was looking at the Cool picks, but did not see one the size of a JazzIII. I can't play with a regular size pick anymore. I have become to use to a small thick pick. I would say as far as the smooth release, the Dunlop gels pretty good.

Long time jazz III stiffo user here(prior to the III's was a big stubby user), tried some V pick screamers a few months ago and they are a great pick. I was advised the small pointed or medium pointed was a popular transition from a Jazz III. This was after my screamer purchase, lol... screamer works well for my needs.
I don't notice the chirp so much as some ppl mention.

Nah, I'm with you. I've tried them but can't like them. I still have a few that I try from time to time--just can't make them work. Some of them are just way too thick and they all chirp like flock of birds.
I have been using the ULTEX JazzIII and have really liked that. It's a JazzIII size but that Ultex material is very nice. Doesn't get hung up and has a slick release off the string.

...But I always seem to try new (or old) things. If all else fails I can always grab a purple tortex 1.14mm and be happy.

I agree, the Ultex JazzIII are great. That s what I was using and ran out of when I tried the v-pick.

I've got a few V-picks but can't stand the chirp. Never been able to get rid of it. I keep going back to Dunlop Stubbys for Buckers and Fender Heavys for singles.
