V30 bottom/Greenback top instead of x-pattern?

In the 4x12 cab. Is the theory behind the V30 bottom/GB top because the V30's are louder, so you put then farther from ear level? Or is it a heavy mag bottom, med mag top idea?

Greenback are a bit nicer on the ear and the v30s punch. Just seems slightly better sounding that way to me. Kind of more like 2 cabs.

Ya might wanna do the GB-RIs since the EVHs are 96db and the v30s are 100

per celestions website:

Sensitivity matching: for best performance, speakers should have by less than 3dB difference in sensitivity.

I know, you're right. I've just been really curious to try the G12EVH's lately.
I have a couple M75's in another cab I could use to experiment too, but I guess I should probably just pick up a couple GB RI's and check it out.

Just after some advice...I have a BE100 and I have purchased a 1960BX and 2x V30's as the logistics of getting a cab from the US would cost me a fortune.

I have the V30's on the Bottom and Greenback RI's on top.

Just getting perplexed with all the conflicting wiring examples... Series-Parallel, Parallel-Series.(http://www.scumbackspeakers.com/wire.html)

If its not asking to much, how does Dave wire his cabinets?

I too work for a musical importer in Australia and tried to get the line here, I had no response to my email…I know they are stupidly busy dealing with the orders as it is… Either way I hope someone picks this awesome line up for us down here!

The diagram is as you look into the back of the cab. Speakers on top of the diagram would be the greenbacks.
