I cant understand half of what he is saying, seems he's still in "lounge singer" mode.
Although I was a big fan of the earlier albums and prefer DLR over Sammy any day, something about his onstage demeanor has always annoyed me.

Not sure how that makes him an ass, but I don't understand much of what any hard rock singers are saying at live shows. Roth is obviously no exception.

His stage presence is what it is. He's David Lee freaking Roth... like him or not, he influenced the stage presence of a generation of singers.

I'm still listening through these but so far I'm not hearing the extreme pitch issues he had early in the tour last year. I also think he's WAY better on stage now, particularly after losing the headset. Must have just needed to shake off the dust. Again, if you've never liked him, that's certainly not going to change now.

I'm at Jump... man, I think it's great that Ed's son is up there with him but to me that tight pocket between Anthony and AVH is severely missing. Wolfgang is a fine bass player but he's playing bass like it's a guitar and not sticking with Alex the way Michael did. Not even close unless I just can't hear it in these vids.
