I think you are right and there are a few spots were Cherone sounds a lot like Sammy. I'd think it greater odds they pressured him to do so than he feeling he needed to do so. IMO, they picked Cherone for his lyrical content. I think Eddie was wanting to move into something more serious and less party oriented. From my stand point, I'd be just as happy (maybe happier) if Eddie released an instrumental CD. He's perfectly capable. I'm not sure why he never did it. Maybe he felt above it or something. Or maybe it was because of contracts. Who knows?
