John Sykes with Vandenberg- Whitesnake 1987 Largo Md.
They opened for Motley Crue. I made it 3 songs into the Crue and we walked out because it was to loud and distorted, couldn't understand vocals or guitar. Saw Tommy do his drum thing in the cage upside down. Honestly Tommy Aldridge Smoked him :D

Not impressed with the new clip. Sounds kinda generic. If I heard it on the radio I would think it was a B side from the 90s  Damn he looks OLD.
I think you are referring to Vivian Campbell. Sykes never played with the Vandenberg lineup...in fact he was fired before the 87 album even came out.

The Vandenberg and Campbell version of WS lasted through two tours...the opening spot with Motley and then the follow up headlining tour in support of the 87 Album. The only recordings they made with this version of the band are Adrian's Here I Go Again solo (which everyone knows)...and Vivian redid the solo for Give Me All Your Love for the video release.

To bad ego's got in the way as this lineup would have killed on the Slip album.

I saw that headline tour that Vivian and Adrian and Adrian owned Viv all night...Viv with Dio was killer both times. The WS show gave me more respect for Vandenberg abilities live...dude was awesome.

Cool recent and lengthy interview with Adrian about his journey over the past decade and his new project.
At 14:51 you'll hear him talk about his gear choices for this album including interesting reasoning why he went for the 'cleaner' tones.

I'm pretty stoked to hear Coverdale and him redo "Sailing Ships" (from Slip) on this. I remember reading an interview back in the day that it was a very personal song for Adrian and I felt horrible for him that he didn't even get to play on it and that Steve's interpretation was way different than his vision for the song.

Wow long vid. :scared: More edit would have been nice....didnt need to know so much info on his house in France

Funny at the end....They are in the car listening to a track....We used to do that back in the day with a cassette   to make sure it sounded right in everyday listening environment. Gave me a good laugh of an old memory. Does anyone remember DAT tape  or reel to reel

I'd like to hear something experimental from this camp. The production sounds great, playing spot on, but c'mon… what's with the damn blues/hard rock revival shtuff going on with all these guys?!

You do know where you're posting, right
