Hello everyone on here. I own a Torpedo Reload, and sometimes I use it in conjunction with the WOS plugin. My concern is the lack of the possibility to deactivate the Variphi control into WOS.
In short, like in the real world, I usually use 2 mics on a single cab, and I want the two mics to be in phase. In the real world, I do my best to have the two mics in-phase right at the tracking or, just in case, I use, during the editing or mix step, the Auto Align plugin, which is a great tool indeed.
Now, in the WOS world, I have some trouble getting the two mics right in phase. According to the WOS manual, the Variphi function is always on, and there isn't a knob position to avoid it "to work". I don't want to experiment with the out of phase (comb filtering effect) possibility. What I want is to have the two mics in phase. Period. A simple option would be to have an On/Off switch to bypass the variphi function or, at least, a 0 position where the phase remains unchanged.
Any idea or advice about that?
