Anyone tried it? How are these videos of these guys diving like crazy and flopping the strings all around staying in tune with a standard nut? I'm interested in maaaaaybe putting one on this 2000 Squier Strat I'm hotrodding.

I had a strat with a VT on it. With a properly cut/lubricated nut and good locking tuners, it definitely can take some abuse and stay in tune. Looks kind of funny IMO. Tonally it wasn't for me - it had kind of a thin bright sound, probably due to the skinny trem block (to their credit, at least it was steel).

I didn't mind it at all when you're running a good bit of gain, but it kind of bugged me when i was trying to get more of a blues tone. Ended up replacing it with a Callaham.

Got to play one put on a PRS by a guitar tech I know. I'm not a trem guy, but I was surprised at how smooth it was. I was doing Steve Vai flutters with it, and it stayed in tune during my demo. They are legit.
