I'm tired of regular velcro both giving out, and the adhesive giving out on my pedals. I want to get velcro that both won't lose its grip, and with adhesive that won't give out as a result of weight and, I suspect, humidity (I live in Florida).

I have a PT Pro board with a Rocktron Loop 8 Floor, and a few of my pedals are on the heavy side. It sucks to open it up to a mess of dislodged pedals with my switcher uncoupled and loose too.

I'm thinking of going with the Velcro extreme, or outdoor extreme type dual lock.

Any other suggestions? Regular Velcro isn't getting it done.

3M dual lock
It's actually difficult to remove the pedal once installed. Make sure the surface is very clean before applying. I clean with alcohol.

Is the adhesive stronger on the dual lock as well?

I'm not sure if the adhesive is any better on the dual lock, but I've never had any come undone from the board.

3M dual lock.
This. If you put too much on you might not be able to get it off without a prybar, or so I've heard. The adhesive is good in my experience, perhaps too good. I used it to mount a chassis inside a headshell as a last-minute thing before a flight and later I had to spend some quality time with some electronics cleaner, a knife, and a q-tip to get it off the metal. Maybe the heat from the tubes baked it on. On the flip side I've had it pop off house walls when I didn't clean them before application.

Dual lock, but yes use sparingly. I've had to use a screw driver before to pry a switcher off of my board before because I used too much.

I have a butter knife I use to get pedals off my board, haha. I have overdone some large pedals and struggled to remove them in the past.

Thanks everybody. Feels like I've got my answer.

I just soak my pedals in hot water and soap and the adhesive comes right off!

Clean surface with alcohol. Apply Dual lock. Heat with hair dryer to set the adhesive.

3M Dual Lock for sure

Hell I've even used it to mount outdoor battery powered security cams that are still in place after years of being in the elements

3m dual lock.

A little goes a long way. For pedals I cut off a 1” tab and the cut it diagonally to get a little triangle and I’ll put one tab at each corner.

For my switcher I pretty much used 4 pieces 2” long cut in half long way I can lift my entire board by my switcher.

I've used 3 m dual lock in 11° and 95° weather, used it on boards that went in back of trailer across states bouncing around, etc..never once have I ever had a pedal come off.Good stuff.I have seen where people don't press enough when they're mounting the pedal to it and it doesn't " lock" together. You'll hear it lock or almost snap together if you're installing it right.
I use a flat screwdriver to work a pedal free from it if I have to.
