Here is a pedalboard I did for guitar great, Henry Kaiser.

Henry wanted a rig to travel with that fit standard airport carry-on size requirements. I had built Henry a much larger rig in the past for his studio (http://www.hugeracksinc.com/forum/viewt ... =1&t=75701), however he wanted an additional smaller/simpler rig for fly dates and traveling.

INTERFACE:

Passive Input (for Fuzz pedals), 2x Effects Loop Break-Outs (for two independent sets of external effects to be patched into the rig from off of the pedalboard), Tuner Out (to SR Turbo Tuner), Vertex Buffer (output buffer)

POWER SUPPLY

Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+

ORDER OF PEDALS

INTERFACE (passive input), Old World Audio 1960 Compressor, Xotic Robotalk, Wilson Colorsound Wah, INTERFACE (break-out insert #1), PTD Tornita (one-off for Henry), Manalay Sound Ronno Bender, Tech 21 Comptortion, Tech 21 Liverpool, Tanabe Dumkudo, Eventide Pitchfactor, EHX Kill Switch (T.C. Electronics Flashback in loop), INTERFACE (break-out insert #2), Neunaber WET Reverb, INTERFACE (output buffer)

Nice clean board as always Mason but 2 things crack me up here;

1) you called Henry a guitar great

2) The fact that theres a tuner on his board, Have you heard this guy play( or whatever he calls what he does) LOL????? Sounds like he really needs a tuner but never gets around to actually using it...

Whether you like it or not, he's one of the foremost experimental guitar players in the world and has been nominated for an Academy Award. Henry can really play, however we generally always see just the stuff that's really out there so it makes it hard for most people to judge. But the bottom line is, Henry can really play.

His stujabbed always sounded like noise to me too but I don't doubt his talent. Just not something I am personally into.

All that matters in this thread anyway is the board you built him. Which I must say is awesome as always

Yeah Ive been told all of that and truthfully, The reality is that I probably dont get what he does. That said, judging by whats out there, Its still a hard sell

Either way, its still a nice board regardless of who you built it for but you know me, Id need a damn switcher router for all of those pedals

Anything I've heard from the "GREAT" Henry Kaiser sounded like a chipmunk having sex with a squirrel. I guess some people call that art.

the board looks nice and thoughtfully laid out,
but does anyone here actually own a henry kaiser cd or have his songs on their itunes?

or is it the idea of him doing whatever he wants to do the appeal, like early punk rock, even if it sucks, which much of it does.

so like a yuppie anarchist pied piper he issues foolishness to those lame enough to buy into it, expanding the cult of the absurd?
it screams of rich latch-key trust fund kid grows up still craving the attention he never got as a kid, does weirdo music but pretends it's normal as part of his emperor's robe shtick

that flintstones spoken word deal on youtube was mental illness put to song. yet from what i've read he is highly educated, well traveled, and can actually "play" so he's choosing terrible jibberish on purpose as far as i can tell.

so then why such a nice, apparently expensive toneful pedalboard, and a touchy feely dumble for crying out loud, when all i've ever heard him do is chaotically stumble and pound on a typical tele guitar into stock amp sound or pitch shift bizzaro mosquito noise with no redeeming appeal whatsoever?

seems he could be just as happy playing a bagpipe through a wah/bullhorn or riding a piano down a flight of stairs naked.

can you imagine buying tickets to his gig thinking you were going to hear music, or showing up at his auditions?

I would think that someone had slipped acid into my drink if I heard this.

i would think that i wanted my money back after minute one to pursue more altruistic deeds, like black market human body part trafficking.

too bad these guys didn't link up with kaiser for a sort of super trio ala dimeola/delucia/mclaughlin,

...minus sanity or any intrinsic marketable worth whatsoever...

looks like avatar needs to lay off the angel dust and peyote cupcakes.

I have a 10 year old guitar student that makes these same sounds and I tell him that's not the way to play. I didn't realize he was a Kaiser fan. I must apologize to him and let him know he can make a living doing that.

hey dude stop being so near sighted.

measly orthodox western-based music peasant....don't you know there are 47 semi tones available in the bangladesh monk scale?
i prefer a hexagon over a parabola time signature because rhythm doesn't exist when wearing my quadfocal alien goggles so black is yellow and a kumquat is my mother.

plus i have alex dumble on speed dial and he'll give me back rubs and make me smoothies in a crystal lattice blender as long as i paypal him $70k in gold kruggerand before the phone call ends.

Hey Mason, sorry for derailing this thread with my opinions of Henry Kaiser because the purpose of this thread has nothing to with him really...

Then again, you should probably thank me because its keeping this on the front page for all to see your work LOL!!!( maybe that was your intention in the first place!!!)

I disagree with you all. I like Henry Kaiser. He is a Kaiser heir of course, no arguing about that. But I like his music.
