VFE pedal run

VFE has a run of pedals coming out this month. I was commenting on how much I liked the Standout earlier this week so I wanted to see what they went for these days (I paid a good bit for mine a few years ago and sold it for a loss). I have regretted it a bit so I was thinking of replacing it. So I've ordered the pinball pedal which from the description does the Standout thing too.

I haven't tried any of their other pedals and but I haven't really found a need for any other pedals except maybe some sort of eq thanks to watching all the shit Lambchopper does.

Are you using a variac or brown box?

I use a brown box to bring voltage to 117, then turn on the amp bringing it to around 113-114. Voltage in my house gets up to 126 v.

Another thing about mid boosts - and certain drive pedals - is context. It isn't uncommon for an effect that's perfect for helping your tone stand out in a mix to sound weird when heard on alone.

Absolutely nothing muddy about the standout. Sure it can be set to sound like crap...like every other pedal made. lol

Really like this clip, the Standout edges it a bit for me, but both great....love a bit of Kai Hansen too!

I sold mine just because I had a few things that went south. If these are still up when I get paid I'm going to be tempted to grab another one. I really like the Standout side. These are built like a tank too.

What makes this different than a grind, 33, TS9, 808, 805 Duncan, precision drive, and so on? Don't take my comment the wrong way as I'm really curios.
