The first clip was fair warning not Van halen 1.The second clip was McFly's close to Van halen 1.The third clip the majority of songs were from other not Van halen 1 except for one song. What ever......
Changing goal posts. Whatever is correct.

No,the majority of the songs are not from van halen 1 which is the first album if you didn't know that. The clip from Adam cook is van halen 1 sounding. The only clip that comes close to Adams clip is mcflys.

Why cant one of the amp builders/modders out there achieve that type of gain/crunch/saturation in a modded Marshall/amp.
Can you point out where you mentioned VH1? And about half those tunes were from VH1.

In any event, the gain/crunch/saturation was there.

The first clip you posted was from fair warning.Mcfly's clip was from van halen 1 and was the closest to Adams clip which was Van halen 1 sounding period. Why would you post clips from other van halen records other then van halen 1.The gain crunch was not there compared to Adams clip.

What goal posts will change now? There must still be some.

All it takes is searching the internet. All these contain just much VH pizzazz as the OP's clip, I'd argue even more. None of them as close as Rockstah's, whom while no longer here most certainly was a "amp builders/modders out there achieve that type of gain/crunch/saturation in a modded Marshall/amp".

This guy can do it pretty good too ...

Dont know bout the singing tho.

There arent several, Mark(Rockstah) would be the only one, the others fall short, plus I own the last amp that Mark Modded.Mark isnt around to perform his mod 5 anymore.Other mod 5 modded Marshall's done by others dont sound like Marks Mod 5.What other builder's/modders(that perform mods) that you have heard sound like the clip listed above,I havent heard any.

He shared his Mod 5 secrets with several people including myself. Its actually nothing all that special. Half of Metroamps form has his schematics.

It is hard to tell an amp or modeler from a full mix. Do dry clips of both then will see.

Rogue close but no cigar.Adams clip is spot on.Listen to adams clip or for that matter the first Van halen recording and then compare it to the clips that you posted and then hear whats missing. As for Rockstah's mod 5 vs others modding a amp to mod 5 specs they sound different then Marks.Mark tweaked each amp to achieve the sound,he went though the entire amp.Ive played and compared Marks mod 5 to others they sound different. Its just like original Jose Mods, the mods done by Jose sound different then the Jose Mods done by others.Case closed no need for me to go further. As for Metro amp,please....

LOL the reason the Jose mods sounded different is because he used different diodes, same mod different diodes. The Cameron amps and other California amps use Jose's favorite PNP Transistors (2N5400) they are the most authentic sounding. That is what most of the Jose modders don't get, they are stuck on the Zener diodes mods he did.

I knew Mark from a private message board, I know what the Mod 5 is.

I had numerous conversation with Mark.We shared alot of ideas.Mark was a great guy and player.

Pete Thorn did a couple dry clips a few months ago comparing the Axe-Fx II BE100 model to a clip of the real BE100 and fooled Dave Friedman himself.

Interesting times for sure......
