VH Tattoo Video

I think it's a bit generic though. Like it's too much VH, you know?
Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. But it doesn't jump at me at all...

I was expecting more for a 1st single. It's not bad...and it's good to see Eddie looking healthy but the song doesn't really do anything for me.

i'm not a big VH fan by any means.but,i think its pretty good.they're doing what they do...make commercial rock.not my style.i won't buy it.i wouldn't turn the radio station if this came on.i would like to see them live.i feel i'm missing out by not seeing them live.

lyrics are kinda silly, but i think the melodies are nice and EVH's tone is great!BG vox are cool, and the drums sound awesome.

i think the world needs VH fronted by DLR right now.bring back a lil fun into music!

EVH is the reason why I play guitar and As a HUGE Van Halen fan I am Glad to see Eddie looking healthy and playing again.

As far as the tune is concerned, I can't help thinking that it's probably the Most Un-Van Halen Van Halen tune that Ive ever heard but that's just me.

I can kind of understand what your saying... but jump to me, was definitely the most un van halen tune ever. I couldnt stand it then and 27 years later still cant stand it. my opinion...

Im with you on Jump always hated that tune

Im kinda diggin the new tune, Want to hear the whole album though to see how it all is

This song and Jump both kick all kinds of ass when compared to Dancin' in the Streets!!!

Look at Alex playing, looks like his shoulders are ready to lock up..............................

I am glad to see Eddie looking better, did not care for the song at all.

Jump was never a favorite of mine Either and to this day I almost always turn the dial when it comes on ;). It scared me so much that I even remember where I was when I saw/ heard it for the first time, which was at a friend house on New Years Eve in 1983 rolling into 1984 and watching the video on MtV while I had a chinese soup cup filled to the rim with a kamakazie drink hahaha!
With that said, I still think Jump fit the VH style because to me it was an EVH guitar riff just done on the Keys. This Riff to me is like the most Vanilla thing ED has done but I'm still jonesing to hear the album ;)
This is all my humble opinion and I don't want to sound negative because I'm happy they are back ;)

I like it well enough I guess. Not blown away for sure. I'll buy the album. You are shooting yourself in the foot when you make everybody wait so long and then release something that isn't GREAT. If they were putting out albums regularly like they should be, the expectations wouldn't be so high...

agree 100%

Cool, good to see them at it. Though it doesn't sound like VH to me. The songwriting sounds like OG classic rock, the kind of music they destroyed when VHI hit in '78. Kinda weird.

Jump is when me and Ed parted company. WTF were they thinking? The little intro ditty to Tattoo is pretty lame. But, as the first horse out of the gate, the tune is conservative and catchy. Easy to tab for the minions, typical EVH tone and solo, and Super Dave isn't trying anything too over the top, except for the moonwalking on the video.

Most important though, it is good to see my genre of guys reassembled and making a go at it. Good luck to them....

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this. This video made me say "well... so so.. but still way better than Jump"

The editing on this new video is pretty bad.

Can't say I hated it but I didn't love it either. I hope being their first single that it's not the best they have to offer. I really thought they'd wanna come out swinging. I'm glad to see Ed isn't play under the chorus sea anymore.

They all can't be MIT grads in a cool band named Boston :D

Well the first three albums to be clear.................... :D
