VH4 - CC for Paralell Loop

Hello all! I want to use my VH4' s Parallel Loop as a "lead boost", and would like to be able to activate the loop/boost with my MIDI controller. Is this possible? What Continuous Controller number would I set my foot controller to to do this? Thanks very much!!!

If you want to toggle this function you´ll not be able to at the moment.
 
As Bato stated, unfortunately there is no Midi CC control available. One workaround is that if you have enough buttons in your Midi-board or if not but you hapen to like pedalboard-tap-dancing you can create separate presets with your solo boost on and off.

For example; I use VoodooLab GCP in 10 presets mode (= 10 preset buttons per bank readily available) and I have created 4 presets for dry sounds and 4 for wet sounds (= Loop/FX on). By doing this I have two sounds for each channels in VH4 in which another has the loop on and another is dry. I know this is not the same you are looking for.

And the same principle of course applies to Ch Inserts as well.
 
You use loop 2 then?

I get a hum when I use loop 2 on parallel, and loop 2 is not activated. that's why I'm asking.
 
Do you mean send 2? Send 2 is parallel.

Concerning your hum issue, Im pretty sure you have a ground loop between your equipment.
 
I only have it when loop 2 is not engaged,which I find odd.

you could be right actually. Would the ground lift on the axe fx (which is in the loop) resolve this?
 
Possibly and is definitely best place to begin solving the issue. If it does not solve your problem, you are very wellcome to address your issue here again. I know people in this forum are more than welcome to help you. But I think you should create a own thread then as it is a bit off-topic here.

Ground loops are annoying, but actually rather easy to take care of (unless the equipment is broken) by applying some logical thinking to the elimination in the chain. There has been quite many discussions related to solving hum-issues in this forum. If you are interested on reviewing them try typing for example "ground loop" to the search field.
