Hi Guys,

I need some inspiration, what effect do you guys use or would use in the CH2 insert of your VH4 ?

So far this is what I use my channel inserts:
CH1: Chorus
CH2: ??? I have already tried compressor --> not good; Gain / Volume boost --> quite OK for soloing over CH2; Tuner --> last option.
CH3: EQ for mid-cut emulation.
CH4: Noisegate when loud or delay.

Thanks in advance for your feedback guys.
Have a nice day.

I've toyed with the idea of running at least an EQ in every insert.

Have you tried the EQ in that slot yet?

I have tried EQ in CH3 and CH4 inserts for mid-cut, but never tried it in CH2. Thanks for the good idea, I 'll give it a try, maybe as a mid boost for solos.
I use CH2 more than all other chanels. It's so dynamic !!! Cleans up very well, slight break up is easy, and with a gain boost / EQ in the Insert and a Delay in the parallel loop, it's just my one channel amp to play everything I need.

This amp is making me crazy, everything I try sounds great and inspiring, with or without effects. But I keep on trying to find new things to try with it.

Do you run cables all the way back to your board or do you just leave the pedal on top of the amp...switched on?

:) First time I used the inserts I was running 4x2 6meters long cables from the pedalboard to the back of VH4, plus a delay in the Parallel loop and the Columbus !!!
It was the biggest mess ever in my room, giant spider web with all other cables and instruments.

Now I run a set of always-ON stompboxes on a pedalboard directly set on the top of VH4 (4x2 50cm cables) and use the Columbus to switch them on and off. Much more space, more FengShui

Can I ask you what you do use in your inserts and loops ? Just curious.

Nothing so far.

But I'm still building.

I was really considering placing an EQ in every insert...but I found the Source Audio EQ...which I think I'll just stick in the serial loop with the delay and my midi switcher will handle the rest. ;)

This multiple EQ looks awesome !
Makes me rethink my inserts pedalboard... oh god, here we go again :)
Thanks mate !
