So I am running a VH4 and running the through jack to the input of a Mesa Roadster, and the Roadster is getting all sorts of noise coming from it. It sounds like a broken cable, but obviously tried a few different ones with no luck. Also, when I plug my guitar directly into the Roadster, there is no noise, so Im assuming it has something to do with the VH4's through jack.

I have a Time Factor running through the EFX loop of the VH4 but not the Mesa. Any thoughts to why this is the case?

Looking it up online, it could be a ground loop because I am running 2 amps in stereo, but then again, im not 100% certain.

If you don't have a phasing lift in the setup you will most likely get ground noise...
when I move my gear around the phasing switch needs to be lifted different each time.

I recommend a split box with a second, transformer isolated out. Can be had from Palmer, Radial, CAE, etc ....

Simple Ground Loop. Lift the Ground on the Roadster and see if that helps. If not you will have to use a transformer Isolated splitter to run both heads. If there is in fact an impedance mismatch like described in the manual.

I borrowed a Buddie's ebtech hum eliminator and that seemed to do the trick. (Glad it was that simple!!)
