Which of these two amps would be the most aggressive,I do own the VHT Deliverance d60h which is a great sounding aggressive head,I have not played a 5150 III amp,Im just looking for opinions.

I haven't played the VHT, but I can tell you that I feel the Peavey 5150 is more aggressive than the fender 5150III (I own both).

+1

complete polar opposite amps.
I don't think a sane person can compare them.

I think you can get similar tones out of both of them, but they are very different amps overall. FWIW, I did not like my D60 at all, and only had it for a week before I sold it. The low end was too flubby for me. The 5153, however, sounds incredible. Both can get very aggressive. Its been a while since Ive played either, so I cant really tell you which is more aggressive, but they are both pretty close. I thought my 6505 212 combo was more aggressive sounding than the d60.

If you played a Deliverance with a tubby low end there was something wrong. Bad tubes, bad cab, something! Those amps are the definition of tight.

Flubby bottom end on a Deliverance = You're doing it very wrong.

To the OP: I compared the two amps back to back one day and they both sounded good to me.The 5150 III sounded a lot smoother and more compressed whereas, the Deliverance was more pissed off, open, and more aggressive.

A few months after I compared these amps I ended up getting a Deliverance 120 on a deal that was too good to pass up. I definitely liked the 5150 III too though.

This.

VHT's are tighter than a rats ass.... no way they are flubby.

I posted this same exact thread on harmony central the other day lol.

I too own the D60 and am interested in the 5153.....but I think I'll just stick with the D60.
