VHT Deliverance Plexi Sounds?

Alright everyone I'm wondering if anyone else has had good luck getting Plexi type sounds out of their Deliverance?

To me the less mode sounds quite like a modded plexi. Anyone else notice that when paired wiht Greenback type speakers it is very Modded Marshall sounding.

I had a D120 and I loved that amp. Not a great low volume/bedroom amp, but with a band it kicked ass. Yes, to answer your question I think the amp has a strong modded Marshall vibe to it. To me its a bit too dry and stiff to do a convincing Plexi tone, but its more of a feel thing than a sound thing. Its a great amp regardless. Welcome aboard!

I run my D60 in less mode with a clean boost. Sounds great, and cleans up very well with the volume knob.

Marshalls had crunch and balls, VHTs don't sound bad, but they're dry and hi-fi

I find keeping Gain I - very low - helps get the cut & brightness of the vintage Marshall's. It can sound similar to several vintage amps ~ but never sounds the same.

Having a real plexi....I didnt find anything about the D60 / 120 that sounded like one. But it is a good sounding amp. Some reverb will take care of the dry sound.

The D60 is a sick amp. Plexi territory, maybe in the modded realm. But Mr. Stephen above is the person to ask with respect to EQ'ing and the like. The D is one of my face sounding amps - cutting, biting, dry, and tighter than a frogs ass.

You might need to turn up the Treble as far as 3 o'clock to get it to cut right. Just screw around with the Treble & Presence.
