VHT experts clx and classic

I had a classic combo with graphic eq. It had tonnes of gain on tap, more than enough for modern sounds. Nice thick, Marshallesque tone but with a bigger bottom. After playing this, I didn't quite get what people meant by VHT's being dry, it definitely had some squishiness and sag to it.

well any kind soul who has a 91 or 92 era pittbull classic head who can share a recording of it from low gain setting to highest gain settings ?
