VHT FB P50es users pls chime in :)

Thanks guys !! I may go load these up... K85 x K100... but are these highly sensitive output to volume speakers? I may like a lower output speakers thou.... so i could crank a tad more out from my tube amp....

FYI K85 and K100 are the exact same speaker.

They are sensitive but not ice picky like a V30 can be. Truthfully only amp I've disliked the K100 with was a Marshall... tried a 1987 and a 2203 and both were shit with the K100's.
 
Maybe pick up a Marshall MF400 cab (K100's) instead of changing the speakers... The cab will probably be cheaper than buying induvidual speakers.
 
That Peavey cab is solid. I've own and used several of them.
 
I have 2 of those peaveys. They sound awesome with most amps. Dense wood and g12k85s

I also have two of them around.
 
I couldn’t get along with P50Es. They were all sizzle and no bark, no real presence to speak of outside of high-end unpleasant frequencies.
 
Off of curiosity, does anybody happen to know what VHT designed the p50e's off of? I have no clue, I was just curious.

The P50E doesn't sound much like any of the various Vintage 30 speakers.
 
Guys... i know Avatar is now having sale.... think celestion be kinda shrill... but just wondering has anybody tried the Fane made for Avatar M65 speakers?

Am just wondering this fane M65 (Avatar) have a more aggressive attack and be tighter than the P50es?
