They're really good.

Here's a totally quick and dirty clip of my UltraLead doing a clean jam at a rehearsal.
There are clams-a-plenty, but the clean tone is there.

Sounds good... do you remember what kind of guitar were you using?

They are excellent clean tones. Especially in the UL.
I have a stock UL and a Fryette modded UL.
Both are excellent.
The modded one is a little nicer because I requested him to "Fenderize" the clean channel a little bit, and Steve came through.
All my other Fryettes have amazing cleans too.

Schecter Loomis, stock (EMG707s).
I'm using both pickups for the entire thing.

The Ultra Lead can coax some fantastic clean tone! Plenty of headroom with no breakup, thick and shimmery. I found once I tossed JJ KT88's and Tung Sol 12AX7's in the amp just came to life, and cleans were definitely Fender-like at that point. I would so very blackfaced Twin sounding but with a modern twist. I'm sure the rest of the lineup is about the same. Great amps!

My CLX has a killer clean tone, especially with the stock spring reverb.
