Ive been playing the D60H(I own two)since they came out(2005) and nothing out there touches it tone wish.Ive played everthing from A-Z from stock to modded, its my favorite amp.Quality is amazing, from brown to classic. These amps will be in time like the prized plexi's of the late 60s.

Great amps for sure!

Have you played one of the newer versions? I believe he tweaked the design a little bit around the time of the VHT/FRYETTE name change, adding a more aggressive feel iirc? I never did get a chance to compare my older model (#33) to the newer models to listen for a difference though :/

I did end up getting Mike to tweak mine a bit to better suit my personal needs but they are great amps that cover a hell of a lot of ground in stock form.

There is something very cool about the sound of the master in the 11/2 o'clock range. What a sound....
I just picked up a D120 about a month ago. Easy one of my favorite amps.
I asked about the updates .... it was at the beginning of 2008. Mine was one of the last of the older ones. The update is a little more improved feel and little more organic. Very slight stuff. You can get a up date ..... I plan on doing mine when the tubes need replacing.

Fryette and THD amps are about the only amps I use anymore. That and some vintage stuff.....

I owned a couple d120 and loved them, great amp and i wouldnt mind owning another one someday, i really liked it best with the deliverance cabs.

Couldn't agree more. I've got the D60 and D412 and haven't really played anything else since.

I'm thinking about selling my D120 to fund a Pittbull CL.....I could really use a loop, and the Pittbull just has this aggressiveness and bark not found in the D120, although the D120 is the thickest sounding amp ever (yet still tight as fuck).

I sold my VHT 50/st after I compared it side by side with the D120 just bc of how much BIGGER the D120 sounded....but I kinda preferred the actual tone of the 50/st (especially recorded) so I'm hoping the CL50/100 would give me a BIGGER 50/st tone with more gain :)

You guys will probably see my D120 in the classifieds shortly.

Dimebag11, the D60H would be more aggressive then the D120,the D120 has more headroom then the D60H.They are both great sounding amps so are the Pittbulls....

If I come around a D60 I'll try one, but out of every VHT/Fryette clip/video I've ever heard....the CL series has been my favorite by far. I've just never tried one (except the 50/st) and if it's like the 50/ST's big badass brother that's what I want.

The Pittbull CL's are great amps I also own a 100CL and a 50CL.

Nice! Which do you prefer and why? Is the 100 bigger sounding?

The 50CL has this nasty thing about it and the 100CL is louder and aggressive also, hard to say because they are both great sounding amps. What I like about VHT/Fryette amps in general is they have that quick attack and strenght that no other amp that I have played has, they project very nice, there is no weakness at all to there tone, alot like what you hear on the first Van halen album if you know what I mean.

Meh, I don't care how much louder the 100 is......but does the 100 sound any Bigger or Fatter? or is it a negligable difference?

The 100CL I guess you say is bigger sounding due to the 100 watts, but the 50CL saturates faster. The power section of all of the VHT/Fryette's are amazing vs.others amps that are out there. In my opinion Steve Fryette is the best in the business Peroid,I have talked to many others and Steve is the guy........

Hmmm, I'll probably end up with the 1st one that pops up at a great deal :) I'm not too concerned with the wattage I guess.

I regret trading my 100CL for the Mark III...those 'bulls definitely bring it live.

been really intrigued by this amplifier. will need to unload some shit to get one. haha.

They aren't too expensive man ;) I'd probably let mine go for as low as $1,00 and it's pretty minty fresh :)

The used low prices of the Deliverance's remind me of the prices of what you can buy a used late 60s plexi for in the late 70s-80s for $300-$500 give or take, then the plexi's went though the roof.I see this happening with the Deliverance, they are being sold for crazy low price's like $750-$850,they will go though the roof just give it time.
