In your opinions which one of these two amps would be the aggressive one.

Vht, i had both but i found my d120 to be more agressive than both slo 100 i owned.

What type off music are u playing.

I would take the SLO in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he was asking whats more agressive, i would take a slo also but of the 2 i think the d120 is more agressive.

I favor the D60 particularly when coupled with the D212 or D412.

D120 or D60 by far.
I have owned 2 SLO's and still have 2 D120's.
To me, The D amps destroy the SLO in every department.
The are way more agressive, have much much much tighter bottom end, no harsh top end like the SLO.
Plus they don't need to be cranked or boosted to get the goods.
I have yet to hear a good sounding SLO in person, and I've heard dozens on top of owning 2.

i dont know if my SLO has a disease or not but it sounds better than what ive heard on many recordings....
ive got a 1959 rca in V1 and chinese in the rest, this combo gives it that marshally Edge/grind/chainsaw Sound and a quad of JJ 6l6's....mines a Demon man,nvr to be sold

the d120 is rawer. i'd still take the slo.
i had a d120 for a while. I really did love that amp.

I've got a pitbull ultralead now and it doesn't quite hit the d120 but between the ul and the slo I've got most of it covered.

That being said the 120 is one of the amps I wouldn't mind adding if I had some free money.

It's a really mean, really unique sounding amp. It's got a lot of tones on tap between the more/less and the 2 gain knobs.

Killing me. :gethim:

With 5881s, and an Ei and chinese in the pre's the SLO is pretty raw. And through some EVMs there are no harsh highs, and the bottom is tight as a virgin.

The VHT is only something I heard at the shop. So not a lot of time with it. Great amp, To me either works, just depends what cab and tubes you are hooking them up with.
