Anyone else notice how little talk , interest gets mentioned here about VHT / Fryette amps these days ?

I really wonder how much the name change has hurt sales ??

In the past I was a big VHT fan boy having owned at one time or another 2 Ultraleads , CL 100 , , CL 50 , a CLX , a D 120 , and a Sig X , but selling them off at one time or another . I have been thinking about another CLX and really wondering why I got so out of favor with their stuff

Any thoughts ???

And it's going to get worse when people start confusing the new really cheap Chinese VHT amps that do not have anything to do with the old VHT/ new Fryette.

I always like vht stuff, I had a couple ultra leads and a couple delieverance head and cab and I was very happy with them. I would love to get another vht head and cab someday.
Steve is a cool guy and knows his stuff, build quality is excellent too.
I will admit I don't really like the fryette logo, vht looked alot better I think.

Funny , as I was thinking the same thing and I know it shouldn't matter ... But I absolutely HATE the Fryette logo with a passion !!!!

There's (was) quite alot of talk about them over at HCAF.

I've never got to play one but I like them. (Y)

Same for me. I love the VHT look, Fryette sounds a little funny and alot less serious, I know it's a surname but still.

It's like with Peaveys, I own a 5150 II and think the 5150s are SO much cooler than 6505/6505+s

There seems to be no middle ground with the dry tone. You either love it or hate it.

The Ultra Lead is my go to amp right now. God, I love that thing. It just has the ability to cut through. It could have a little more of this or that but, every amp I have played falls into this as well. Overall, not much to talk about, great fucking amps. Mine says VHT for those of u who hate the Fryette name.

I like Fryette amps much better than most. Only amps I have plugged into in months is my Sig X and THD's. The Deliverance and Sig X are not near as dry as the Pitbull's. I do not think the name change hurt them at all. They got a ton of free advertising out of it and believe some cash.
The world economy is slow .... it has effected just about everyone. All the amp builders are being effected by this, I am surprised we have not seen the end of a few yet. Look how slow used amps are selling.
A lot of the new people are Fryette users. I would guess we well see more talk about then because of this.

Maybe here but the Deliverance was all the craze at HC a short while back.

I played my UL tonight at band practice.

It reminded me that there's a reason that I tell everyone to buy one.

BASTEST MAP EVARR

I had two 50/CLs, now I have a Pittbull classic on the way... really looking forward to comparing it with my other high gain monsters.

I don't think the name change hurt them, but it certainly hasn't improved anything - I don't care for the logo either. VHT was more elusive, no one REALLY knew what it stood for. Just rumors. I don't think it's given them enough publicity to made them become hugely popular. I'd have a hard time believing they've sold many more amps because of it.

I like the amps alot, still have my 2502 in my rig and it sounds great. I would like to play a Sig X one day. Just seems like so much amp for the money.

The Deliverence is the best sounding amp I have ever played through.
Just wish it had a loop.

I love my Deliverance and will probably never get rid of it, but I'd actually like to check out the new VHT Standard 36. Sounds pretty rad in this video to me:

I still think they should have called it FYT

The Ultra Lead is one of the greatest metal amps ever. That being said calling an amp Fry It, seems kinda scary. Steve should have picked a different name.

From what I can tell only the much cheaper entry model VHT's are made in China.

From the new VHT website:

"This site looks like VHT, but all of the amps are different. Why is that?"

"We have acquired the name and are excited to expand the product line with all new models, including The Standard Series, which is handwired at our workshop here in Brisbane, CA. VHT Amplification, Inc. (that's the old company) has changed its name to Steven Fryette Design Inc. Information about Steven Fryette Design and service or warranty support of VHT amplifier products manufactured prior to December 31, 2009 may be found here."
