Hi guys i am an amaturist here about amplifier i am thinking hard on which to choose between this two .... as i know VHT UL makes very awesome low end chugging being tight but versatility from switching to classic rock to modern metal .. how could it compare with bogner's XTC ?

yet have no idea on bogner's XTC's 101B handleing on its low ended thightness but i know XTC would be versatile much on its plexi mode and switches between classic rock music to modern metal.. far as i heard from clips its gotta kinda megadeth tone to it... kindly of anyone could help me submit my mind upon thinking?

I have had both a prefer the XTC to the UL. That said there is more SAG with the XTC and it is more of a rock amp than a metal amp although it can do metal. The Fryette just felt weird to me in the mids.

Thanks mate but if you would kindly eleborate more on how you felt on fryette's mids section on the UL model? well i know individual person just prefer to certain amps is just subjective but i would like to hear on more of people's choices

If you decide on a UL, PM me. My friend is probably going to sell his. The chasis says Freyette Amplification but it has a VHT faceplate. It was one of the last production VHTs made in late 2008. It's dead mint too.

both are cool amps... Like Brad said the xtc has more sag and is a looser feel, more forgiving. It can pull off metal when dialed in correctly, the VHT definatly much tighter and dryer of an amp ( thats not always a bad thing) I dug the graphic eq and thought it had some great tones, but wasnt as saturated as i liked...

I guess it really depends on what you play and how you play to...

Dont know where you located but Ultra Sound in Nyc has both on display in there rooms and you can check them out side by side...

oh no guys thanks alot there !! but i am from southeast aisa singapore.. lol i rather need a 230V anyway because of the small market here in my country thete isnt much boutique amplifiers avaliable for us to test and mostly we are just buying blindly.. ;) but you guys are among the coolest people here really ;) is really hard to decide but i have heard of another boutique amp and prehaps you guys knew who he is fortin amplifier love its meat amp tone !! but kinda pricey lol 6 channels avaliable which means its loaded with lots of versatility from classic rock to stevie ray and modern metal??

I am playing through a bogner as I write this, although its a 20th anniv. shiva.....
I think the xct is more versatile..Ive played both before, and like every one esle said, the vht is tighter, less forgiving, more aggressive-but you can really, pretty much get all that( in a somewhat different flavor) w/ the xct, plus the sounds are more organic, useable to me on the bogner- both are great- buy em both! :)

You havent really said much about the kind of style your'e going for?
