How does it compare to the Landry? In the videos sounds like the VHT has more low mids.

UL - More low mids, tighter response

Landry - Sweeter highs and mids, looser response (but not flubby loose or anything)

They both have great "punch" to them.

What I remember most about the Landry is how great the highs were. It's like the amp was super-bright without being harsh in the slightest. I bet it cuts like a frikkin lightsaber in a band situation.

What did you replace the speakers with? Was it literally just a simple switch out? Just curious.

Sorry, I missed this. I replaced the stock Vintage 30's with G12H30s first and hated them. Then I ended up with the "Warehouse Guitar Speakers" ET65s. These speakers have great bass, subdued mids, and real nice highs (not harsh or spikey.) They're a copy of the Celestion G12-65 speakers.

I was at Bill Landry's house not too long ago and he had one of his 4x12" cabs loaded with the real Celestion G12-65s and one cab loaded with the WGS ET65s. He didn't tell us which is which. We spent probably 10 minutes comparing the two and all of us agreed that one cab sounded better (both were good, but one was better.) Well, it was the WGS loaded cab that we liked the most. The good news is that the WGS version is $65 compared to the new Celestion Heritage G12-65 at $175-200 each. So yeah, huge price difference.

All you have to do is some basic soldering, but the speaker cables in Bogner cabs are really fat. You need a decent powered soldering iron to do it.

This is something I was wondering about.
What was the differences in the 65's ?

Well I like the Celestion 65 and more low end is always a plus the way I see it. With the money difference this is a easy. Thanx :)
