VHX Questions

I have a couple questions regarding the hi cut and low cut parameters in the cab sim and IR block. Does the cut occur at specific frequencies or is there some sort of variable at work as you move the control from left to right? This information wasn’t really clear in the manual.

Also has anyone had any luck using the built in wah? I can’t really find any usable parameters that sound realistic.
