Hi, there!

Just recorded this video today.
I was considering changing my C75 and two months ago I bought a C65.

Hope this help someone! \o/

Thanks for sharing .. I’m thinking about trying some creambacks in a Bogner 412.
Never had the chance to hear either of these in person.

From your video, Low gain the 75’s rule
High gain Im not sure.. the 75’s do seem clearer but a bit ratty / abrasive in the high end.
I think I like the 65’s a bit more with gain.

What’s your experience in the room Del Rei??

Hey, man.
Thanks for the comment!

Well... I think speakers are some kind of crazy stuff... LOL... When I tried the C75 in my 1x12, I didn't like it so much. But on my 2x12 I loved. I guess the low end of bigger cabinets matches the mid/highs of the C75 and they all get a properly balanced tone.

If I have to play in a 1x12 I would go for C65. And in bigger cabs, C75. I guess in a 4x12 you will really like the C75, man!

That is a great video! I've had and combined both together and with various other Celestions. I'm currently going to run the 75s in an X pattern with V30s in my Friedman cabinet. (Or I might do top/bottom 75s/30s)

All V30s are just a bit much, and the Greenbacks on top don't handle the gain/levels of bass I sometimes play with. The same happened somewhat with the 65s when I had them too, albeit in a different cabinet. The 75s handle it all well and should be a good compliment to the V30s.

Nice, man.
For now, the C65 + C75 is the preferred match... Sometimes I like to run C75 + Greenbacks... I don't know what happens to me. I change the speaker sometimes... LOL

Lol same, the struggle is real. :D

Never considered the CB65 + CB75.

I read comments about the low end on the 65 being “slow” or “loose”
And the 75 being “tight” and “fast”
Also the mid/high on the 65 sounds fat / warm, 75 sounds percussive/ cutting.
Bet it would sound massive mixed.

Is that why you like them so much together Del Rei ? They kind of fill in for each other?

Fantastic, thanks! Your speaker vids are a great contribution to the amp world.

IMO, these two speakers are the best Celestion has ever made. I have a Bogner 4x12 with H75s and another with G12M-25, but plan on swapping those for Creamback versions. The H75 is a great speaker for an angry high-gain sound with any hot-rodded Marshall. I've been wondering how the M65 does in comparison.

I have a Bogner 2x12 loaded with 75’s that sounds fantastic with my 2555x.
It’s been my main gig rig for about three years now.

Hey, man.
But I'm not an expert about speakers, I don't have big technical knowledge but from what I hear I make my thoughts.
The thing I like about this combination is that they can sound tight at low end and also cut through the mix easily. And I don't know exactly why, but in my impressions, together this characteristics are more clear.

But... As I said, I change my "preferred" speakers sometimes LOL

Interesting. I have never tried a 4x12 with Greenbacks and H75 together. Would be an interesting experiente. Have you ever tried that?

I really like creamback 75's. 65's are ok, but I definitely prefer the bigger low end and more aggressive bite of the 75. Currently, I'm running two 75's and two alnico creams in an X pattern. I went through a TON of speaker combos in the same 412 over the span of a couple weeks and this was the best combo for me.

Redplated - taking your advice and ordered pair of each of H75’s and Alnico Creams.

Alnico cream clips are killer, hope they live up to it!
Will report when I get them in my Bogner 412

Congrats. The creams respond extremely well to picking dynamics. By themselves, they can be a bit dark. The H75's add bite and upper mid content. It results in a well-balanced, responsive speaker combo.

I'll be interested to hear your assessment of them.

I have tried both with my modded Marshall and just prefer the regular Heritage GB's better, but recently picked up an AC30 with the CB65 and it just is perfect. Thanks for doing these videos!
