Hey, guys!!!

Just recorded this today!
Hope you like!!

Used a Vox AC15C1 with a isolation cabinet 1x12"with Creamback75 and two mics inside (SM57 and AKG P170).
I set the internal trimpot to minimum!!

:D

Good job on the video. Really went though the motions. In my opinion the tone of the BE-OD is just so compressed and messy. I've watched countless youtube clips so perhaps it is youtube's f killing fidelity. I have not heard a BE-OD in person. I've played though the MXR EVH/Zakk, Wampler, Fulltone, Marshall and i'd like to try a BE-OD in person but i think i'd still take any of the others over the BE-OD. Seems so similar to all the others with a slight flavor difference outside of the farty slop this pedal sounds like to me. Again good job on the video.

Hey, man!
Thank you for the comment!

Well... Yeah, there is a compression there, but I don't know how you would like it in person.
Actually, I didn't like it very much at first because the pedal have too much gain for my taste. After setting the internal trimpot to minimun I got really impressed with the better results... In my opinion, of course.

And when you first play the pedal, in start position (all knobs at 12 o'clock) the tone is not very good. But after some adjustment, I really gets great!

I owned a BE-OD for a week and honestly, while I can hear and see the quality in the pedal, it just wasn't for me at all. Personally, I think the only use for this pedal is to be like a distortion channel in a box for guys playing through clean or low gain amps. It does not work at all as an overdrive pedal in my opinion because even with the internal and external gains all the way down, when you turn the pedal on, there's a bunch of gain, almost like an OD pedal with the dirt all the way up. Not even sure why they call it an OD in any way really. However, when you do add it to a clean tone, it really does a nice job of creating a very tweakable and powerful gain channel just like you are using an internal gain channel in an amp. However with any gain in the signal, kicking on this pedal's gain clashes with the other gain rather than stacking with it. It's also a VERY quiet pedal for the amount of gain inside it. So if you are a player with a clean amp or low gain amp that wants to add straight fire, get this bad boy, if not then avoid it.

Using it with 18v gets rid of that compressed feel and squish. Give it a go. I did and never looked back. Great sound a lot closer to the original amp IMHO.

Cool demo! Sounds decent, in this video.

My problem with the BE-OD I had and sold is the lack of a mid control. It sounds really bright and scooped, and a mid knob would probably make it way more neutral sounding.

EQ pedal?

Actually, I guess it would not be good to buy a pedal that needs an EQ pedal for making it sound better... but, maybe....
