Hmmm... seems to like standard tuning better IMO.

Yeah it seemed to also like my Sunburst with the WCR American Steele's better then my black Paul in general. The black Paul really shines on the VH4, HBE and Dual Recs, it's very thick and heavy. The Dirty Shirley is not voiced in a way that flatters the black Paul, it also has 11's on it which don't chime as nice as 10's IMO but grind nice in drop tunings. The Sunburst and the DS really go well together. And keep in mind this is the first time I've used the amp, so with some time I would be able to dial it even even batter.

with dave you can't go wrong man. one of the most seasoned tonemen in the game.

once vic is done with my peacemaker and i've thoroughly abused it, i'd love to bring it down to your studio and leave it for a while so you could "explore the space" with it.

based on how your tastes are migrating, i think my original suggestion i had for you way back on your amp journey to look at mojave amps may play well into your current thinking.

but you had to get your high gain phase out of your system first. i understand. :D

I'd take this tone over the one in the original post. No offense to Dave or the OP.

everybody wants some, I WANT SOME TOOO!

aaaw yeaaaah
