Give me a break. You don't sell things like that on Craiglist. If it is "a classic", etc. sell it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or some other big name guitar store, etc.

Maybe I'm missing something. Would someone buy this????

One of the JHS shows he compares one of these with the behringer version and there is virtually no difference lol

LOL, there you go!

I sold mine for like $600 back in 1996ish. That was like top dollar too.

I still have my 1983 TS9 I got in the 80’s as well. I never use it. lol

It’s worth whatever someone’s willing to pay
True story.

Although for that coin you can buy a Klon Centaur. Can't imagine paying that for gear; other than a guitar or amp/cab....

Never had an TS-808, because of those prices, but I scored a good deal on an '81 TS9 with original box and manual somewhere around 2004 or 2005. I wouldn't be surprised if I could sell that for 3-5 times what I paid for it.
I don't use that either, for collector's reasons; I have the whole original 9 series complete (yes, including ST9, OD-9 and AW-9), so later down the road, I got a re-issue TS9 that I heavilly modded. Don't use that one much either. :D Nowadays it's my modded DOD 250 or a TS Mini for boosting.
But the DOD sounds bigger and more organic, less of that nasally, saturated mid-hump.

I paid like $25 for my TS9. Having the whole 9 series is cool.

I paid $25 for my original 1974 phase 90. I have a milk crate full of old script And block letter MXR pedals. Shit, I have an old green dod preamp 250 lol n a box somewhere too. lol

That's ridiculous.

Meanwhile my '83 Boss SD-1 is worth about $125.

But it doesn't have a "MYSTICAL RARE CHIP". You gotta remember, about 75% of guitar players only think something is better because their favorite guitarist of their youth used it (SRV used it, must be the magical ingredient!)...or it goes for more money on Reverb, costs more money so it's gotta be better! Nothing really to do if it actually sounds better for them, or even if they have done comparisons. I swear, sometimes I think guitarists are the biggest followers/suckers/sheep of anyone.  Also, never discount the guys who don't even play guitar who are "collectors".

I sold my TS-808 on TGP for $675 plus shipping and PayPal about 13 years ago. Never did like the way it cut the bass, and got all honky in the mids with a weird high end. Good thing I got it for free in 1982, cuz I never would have paid for it the way it sounded.

And yeah, it sat in a wastebasket with my other unused pedals for years. Which reminds me, I have a mint Zendrive 2 I need to put up for sale along with a bunch of other stuff I'm not using.

I’m Trying to determine what price to set for the Eddie Van Halen pick I posted in another thread. I’m thinking of starting at $7000. I may start at $10,000, stating that the pick was appraised by Milton McFingerbang at Harmony Central.
