Never had an TS-808, because of those prices, but I scored a good deal on an '81 TS9 with original box and manual somewhere around 2004 or 2005. I don't use that either, for collector's reasons; I have the whole original 9 series complete (yes, including ST9, OD-9 and AW-9), so later down the road, I got a re-issue TS9 that I heavilly modded. Don't use that one much either.Nowadays it's my modded DOD 250 or a TS Mini for boosting.
But the DOD sounds bigger and more organic, less of that nasally, saturated mid-hump.
