QUITE OBVIOUSLY, he committed a serious crime by attempting to MURDER LE officers at a checkpoint en route to the White House.

Is anyone TRULY stupid enough to think he wouldn't break another law to obtain a gun illegally if the govt made it impossible to buy one at Walmart?

Funny though, usually when we point out the shooter is a crazy fucker who was known to be crazy and should have been dealt with previously, you guys make light of it and blame legal gun owners and lack of allegedly "common sense" gun laws. By your logic, why have speed limits on roads. People are gonna break them. Why have any laws or rules? All that means is people are going to find a way to break the laws.

That makes no sense as a reply to what I said.

Let me repeat - You said "making a law to prevent gun ownership is useless because people will just break the law". And I countered by saying "well then if that's right, why have ANY law, because they all get broken".

You should have said, we can't make that kind of law because the 2A forbids it. Which it doesn't but at least we'd have a good debate.
