I haven't been on social media in a long time so I missed this news, but about a month ago Vitalij Kuprij passed away, was just talking about him with someone on here and I didn't even know it happened.....Dude was one of my biggest synth influences and fav. keyboard players ever, amazing virtuoso...Malmsteen of Keyboards... Passed away at 49 from a heart failure, Right around my age(48)....So sad ?
Take hold of the flame, gents.

Was that with me last week bro'? I know I spoke with someone about him. Might've been in the Greg Howe thread.

I'm shocked man. He's my fave neoclassical-metal keyboardist. Looove his mono synth solos especially. Pretty sure I've got all his albums.

SMH. The dude had at least 20->25 more years of music-making in him. We're all the worse-off for it.

RIP Vitalij.

Yes, you were the one I was referring to, we were chatting about him in that Greg Howe thread....same, have a huge collection of his work....patch I photo'd above is Vitalij's Monolead synth patch on the Korg 01/Wfd.....huge loss, 49, unbelievable ?

I've never heard of him before. It's a damn shame I'm only discovering his music after he passed. From what I looked up, dude had skills.
