I have an opportunity to buy a VN-412A cabinet with the custom "Elite-75" Celestion speakers, but I am not able to find a whole lot of info on these specific speakers online. In fact, almost nothing.
Can anyone please provide me some comparative info - are these similar to any other mainstream models?
For reference, I am planning to pair the cab with a JCM2000 DSL50, to play classic/hard rock and 80's hair metal, Not modern metal of any kind.
I do NOT like 70/80's which a lot of manufacturers tend to use in their lower cost cabs and combos, nor G12T-75's that Marshall seems to use in most of their cabs these days, both of them are too harsh and bright for me, and in particular with the DSL50 which is a pretty bright amp.
My favorite speakers are Celestion G12-65's (used in the original JCM800 cabs), and Eminence Legend V12's, which I think sound pretty similar to the G12-65's.
So like I said, can anyone offer a comparison on the Elite-75's to help me out?
