I would like to purchase a Friedman Pink Taco and live in Europe where we have 220 volts. Is the Pink Taco compatible? Do I just need to put a 1A fuse in it?
Thanks for your input. :)

God no! Do not "just put a 1A fuse in it"

I live in Australia where we also used 220/240 volt -buy a step down transformer (like this - http://www.tortech.com.au/category/595/) to take the voltage from 220v to 110v. I use them on all my American amps & they are worth it
The amp will run at its correct voltage (so it will work longer & better) & it will sound amazing.

If you start mucking around with voltage you could potentially kill the amp, or even yourself

The amp can be switched over to your voltage.

Dave,

Think you need to state on the website that 220V is available on request.

I live in Argentina where the voltage is 220V also.
Tone Merchants will make you an amp that can handle voltages up to 230V-240V.

You will be able to use it without needing a step down transformer!

I just ordered a DS with the proper voltage from Tone Merchants! By the way: KILLER AMP!

Thanks a lot for your answers

So can I order the amp from one of the dealers in the US and ask a tech here in Europe to switch it over to 220 Volts or do I need to order a special one with the proper voltage?

I ordered my BE100 from Dave/RS set for 220V and had it shipped to the UK.

Any of Dave's dealers can have one spec'd like this for you.
