Just tell me, in simple terms, why one would buy the Axess over the much cheaper Ground Control Pro? I'm curious - what functions does the Axess offer over the GCP? I'm pretty lazy and on my way out, so I expect you guys to tell me rather than me do the research

More bells and whistles. That said, I don't think Id ever need more functions then I already have with my GCP.

The FX-1 is so far ahead of the GCP in every concievable area that it isnt even funny. That said, it all depends what the hell you are looking to do with it. Like Ralphie said, he has no need for for a tenth of what the FX-1 does and the GCP for what it does, is hard to beat for the price.

Determine what you plan on using it for and then make an informed decision!!!

gainzilla? this is all new to me, no steel kage?

anyways, back in the loop. i started with the gc pro, now i have the fx1 + expander. i just like to have more manual control of on/off presets. with the fx1, there's more bells and whistles, the build quality is unmatched, and it more directly ties into the axess rx1 looper i have in the rack, pretty much.

both are very easy to use, both are flexible, but the gc pro has two modes, all presets, or a bank-preset row and instant access switches above it.

i didn't read the thread, there are tons more features on the fx1 that i didn't list, both companies have great customer support.

also, in all things midi, definitely look towards midisolutions.com for additional features and help via their midi mappers and whatnot, there's a world of out-of-hand fun you can have with midi. still, both these controllers can keep things simple as well.

if you don't need many buttons or to control much, the axess mfc5 is a great unit as well. kage will testify to that.
