Any clown who would send a customer this kind if response is a clown, dont care how bad of a day he had. Its just another pickup, no magic here. Get a refund and move on.

Why would he give a tracking number when he has yet to even send it out? I give a tracking number as soon as I ship something.

I've ordered from Wade a half dozen times...and I'm ordering more MCP's soon. His pickups are great!! I'm pretty sure he's a one man business and I don't ever remember getting hard ETA's when ordering but it's usually 6-8 weeks. But sometimes ya just gotta be patient.

Just work it out with him, the email could be construed as being sort of accusatory... but then it's says it's not.... but then it says it again,...and then the cherry on the top ending... probably just both having a misunderstanding and then having bad day, two sides to every story... just don't think it's right to put somebody else's private email up on a forum especially since all MCP email's contain this:

**This is a private e-mail. Any mail received from Motorcity Pickups is strictly confidential to the addressed party exclusively and not to be used in any public publications, forums, chat rooms, magazines, news paper publications, radio broad-castings or any third party affiliations without prior written and notarized consent from Motorcity Pickups. If you receive this mail in error, please dispose of and disregard immediately.

This was a facebook message. None such disclaimer applies even if it's stated.

I found MCP to be totally unresponsive to my requests for more info on my choice of pickup and then delivery details.
I bought an Afwayu and was so disappointed, I didn't bother risking any further dealings with him and sold it.

Based on this thread, it seems like a wise decision.

There is no excuse, none, to allow such unprofessional behaviour towards a paying customer.

There a many winders out there who know the true meaning of customer service.

It was not the greatest response and he was probably having a bad day, but was there any need to publish this private correspondence publicly?
I'm sure they could have sorted it out on their own.

I ordered a Detroiter set about a year and half ago, and it took about two months, and I made one inquiry (after the shipping label thing too), and it came not long after. Again, not a great professional response, but I don't think there was any need to throw it out here.

What?!?! That was an incredibly douchey response from wade. He has to be responsible for his actions. If he is ok with sending a customer that kind of email than he should be ok with it be posted online somewhere.

the problem with many of these one man shows is that they get overwhelmed, can't plan properly, and can't run a business for shit.
That email totally sucks and good on you for sharing.
Once threads like this accumulate it should be a red flag to anybody, even if you were happy with a previous order as it could be you next time.
What these guys should do is address these issues and take corrective action...the threads will still be there but if it's been a few years since any have popped up that's a sign that the guys got their act together.
Take the refund and get some pups elsewhere

sometimes you need to pickup the telephone and avoid email. Seems like this could have been talked out instead of parsing sentiment from an email. If the issue was the time you had to wait, you got your response and money back, then you can feel good that you were not being ripped off.

Not meant to rub MCP fansthe wrong way, they are great pickups but I would not wait that long for any pickup from any company but I'm an impatient man :) With so may pickups readily available why wait?... and please don't tell me your tone is 100x better than I can get with pickups I can buy today, whether new or used.

All he had to do is NOT agree to drill the holes. I see a bit wrong on both parties really. One being the customer needed and requested to drill holes and the other is MCP agreeing to do so. Custom anything takes a little bit longer so perhaps expectations weren't properly communicated. If its a start-up, one man band winding pickups in his spare time then one should really expect it to take some time to fill the order...even longer if you have something different to a standard product offering.

MCP should really take a breathe before hitting send ;) I'd still try his pickups if the were in stock...people have bad days and shit LOL

Honestly scour through some forums classified and you'll see MCP's quite regularly and I'm not even looking for them
