Always looking for a bigger n better wah... I wish i could have my own sig wah made for me, so far the silver machine is the ultimate, but I really dont want to take it out to shows , dont know if it will take the beatin, so Ill keep it for studio use, so now what? Dime wah wicked not switchless, had the tremonti, lynch wah, 535q, 95q, zakk wah, orig crybaby, had a rack dunlop wah, what I want is a nice sweep like a morley, nasty fkn bite like the dime, and boost would be cool too.Anyone try that morley kiko wah?

I like my Foxx Fuzz wah because its literally is fuzzy, I am not kidding. :D

The rocktron black cat video on there site was pretty wicked, not switchless but still awesome... I messed around with a weeping demon before a lil, i might give it another try, id like to hear that new morley kiko sig wah out. cant find any clips though.

Crabby...

What did you think of the 95Q vs. the Tremonti? Did the 95Q have any tone suck in bypass?

I've been using the Tremonti for a few years and love it but wish it had some more throat so to speak...the sweet spot is great once you find but just not enough of it. Love switchless though.

BTW/ I'm looking to try the Kilo Wah and the BBE wah...which everyone seems to be raving about.

I still have the 95 q it cries more than the tremonti, the tremonti was very high pitched to me and even though the pedal has a lot of travel it seemed like the wah wasnt there for me. The 95 q is sweet sounding i wish it had the range of the dime wah, i like to crank the dime all the way up and bass hvy it sounds real nasty thru the ol' diezel. But as for just plain leads the 95 q is right on. Again the silvermachine is out of this world and fkn expensive and if it breaks then what, but it does everything and everything well!

dont hesitate to get the 95 q its got vol/var q and boost... if it just got a hair more deeper it would be perfect!

tone suck....no not for me, or not that i noticed ive run it thru a lot of amps.diezel, mesa, marshall, diamond, peavey, splawn no problem

i've gone through more wahs than i can remember...but i'll try...tremonti, vai bad horsie 1, lynch, regular dunlop gcb95 stock and modded, area 51, vintage chrome morley power wah, dime wah, and a 95q...i think that's all of them. i loved the tones i could get from the dime but like you crabby i like switchless wahs much better. the same goes for the area 51, that thing rocked tone wise but i was so used to having switchless morelys at the time that i sold it. now i have a 95q on my board and am happy with it but it's not 100% perfect but of the switchless wahs i've tried (never used a silvermachine) it's my favorite one. the tremonti like you said was high pitched which i didn't like, i actually modded it to stop the sweep from going so bright and edgy but it still wasn't right for me. it just didn't talk enough with that deep vowel like voice you can get from other wahs which i like. the wow mode on the lynch was kinda cool for a while but it was a bit stale sounding in regular mode and nothing all that special. i was considering a rack wah (even though i don't have a rack) just so i could go switchless with tons of tonal options but i still haven't taken that leap since they aren't exactly cheap. i honestly have little hope for that kiko wah to be honest with you because all the morelys i've tried have been ok but just didn't talk like a classic cry baby or vox does they seem to cut more and just don't seem to have the sweep style i'm looking for. part of me wants to check out that hammett wah because it may have a cool voice but being that it's not switchless odds are it would only last on my board for a short time.

so i'm with you, they need to make a switchless wah with all the tonal options of the dime and i'd be happy.

Btw/ funny story. The 1st Tremonti I had absolutely sounded different than the other 2...owned 3. Lost the 1st one in a fire...but it actually sounded better...little more deeper in voice, not as toppy. One night I had a quick hectic setup onstage, my cord got stuck under the wah so it wouldn't go back to bypass...our opening songs riff was completely based on using the wah, I'm freakin, i thought the wah was broken, never seeing the cord on the dark stage. Picked up the wah in a fit and threw it against the back wall. My friend in the other band was laughing because he saw the cord underneath, thinking I had noticed yet I threw the wah with w/ cords attached and everything slammed up against the wall. Light went off and the bottom of pedal was bent but the thing still worked. Thinking I had fixed it my friend walked over told me what happened. Obviously I was an idiot.

Anyway, guess you had to be there. But the other 2 do sound different...in fact of the 2 that I still do own...one sounds better. I actually called Morley about this and of course they said they're all the same...has to be just variations in components/tolerances but they did say to send one back and they would voice it a little more to my liking. Just never got around to it.

Just want something with a different flavor now anyway. The Lynch was nice for awhile...got tired of it rather quick though.

Still, suprised more companies don't have switchless wahs. Alot of players just don't realize the potential of switchless wahs. Once you get hooked, it's hard to go back.

the crybaby rack wah isnt switchless , I owned it the dcr-1fc has a switch on it. I called dunlop once a while back and they left me a voice message that they said they can modify my dime to be switchless like the 95 q........

Has anyone tried the new kirk hammett wah, im thinkin it has to be killer, but you never know, he actually uses a rack wah.

Any weeping demon users out there, heres a couple videos with a guy using it, nice sweep and sound,I love how the drowning pools wah sounds.

crabby...dunlop offers a mod service for the rack wah to make the foot controller switchless. last i heard it was around $50 or so. they told you they would mod a dime wah and make it switchless??? well then there's the answer for me, i never knew that was an option, i thought they would only mod the rack wah controller.

i did find this cool little toy that i'm considering since it will make any wah you put on it true bypass and switchless....

I have come to either the Clyde Deluxe or the Dunlop 2SR Rack Unit.

The Chicago Iron is fun as well but a different flavor than your traditional wah, it FAT, REALLY FAT sounding.

I'm glad you posted this, I just ordered the Area 51 yesterday, I dont care about switchless.

Sounds like at least two of you have had the Morley George Lynch Wah. How is it?

Live I use the original 535 (not the "Q" version) and it sounds great. The Weeping Demon is actually a great pedal. My bass player has one and I use it when we rehearse at his place...definitely worth checking out.

I saw metallica live a week ago (3 times) and he was using his pedal, not the rack
