Wah pedal shootout?

Finishing up my board for the most part yesterday and my wah pedal is in really bad shape. All sorts of noise coming from it, output jack cutting in and out, etc. Time for a new one, which kinda sucks as this was the first wah I ever had.

Anyway, I gotta find something very soon that isn't terribly expensive. As I'm looking online at wah's I realize I have only heard a few like crybaby, Vox Satch Wah and that's about it. Is there a video shootout somewhere that I can use as a reference point?

Hoping to find something I can get my hands on soon, not a boutique expensive one off with a long wait time. What are you guys using?

Can't really help you on the video thing, but I've owned a Bad Horsie and a Crybaby 535Q. The BH was nice because there is no switch, just step on it and rock. It does take up a large chunk of your board though. The 535Q- once I got it dialed in- is the bomb. Nice and thick with just enough hair on the top in to make note burn in.

The Fulltone stuff is top notch and doesn't alter your tone. I really like how it's got more travel than most wahs.

I had projectx102 on this board make me one. His beat out Teese and Fulltone at more than 1/2 the cost. PM him and tell him what you want...
I bought the same wah and they are really great. Best wah I have used for the high gain stuff. You cant go wrong with this wah.

Had the Bad Horsie, now have the Bad Horsie II which I like a lot. The BH II is tunable and quiet. Simple, step on to activate and use, step off to by-pass.

i've only owned one wah and it's a heavily used crybaby gcb-95. i got it at GC used for like $25 or something like that

i modded the crap out of this thing (TB, better quality caps, changed the sweep frequency range, some other things too) and i love the way it sounds now. never tried the fassel inductor thing though, sounds good as is so no point in throwing away $20.

Teese wahs are excellent.
You might consider the new MXR/CAE wah. Really flexible, and terrific sounding. I love mine.

Ive had so many Wah's over the last few years and 3 of them were Teese, I think they are the best but I just bought the MXR/CAE because a few guys recommended it to me from another thread from here (Thanks by the way) and received it Friday and I love this wah!! It has a great voice and true bypass for $140. You can also switch the Fasel inductors and a boost on it  and you can adjust the Q inside also.

+1

Bud wah gets my vote too. Just this morning I was in the middle of a solo, and realized how much I love the Bud wah sound in the mix. Felt like I was kind of buried in the mix, stepped on the wah, and wow! There I was!

Switched to this and LOVE it

Good for cleans and high gain?

Your old wah a vox?

Get the guts to a Chicago Iron Parachute wah, that thing is just nasty! It may be over the top for some though, I have not heard a wah like that one. I know I love it.

Dunlop rack wah it does whatever you tell it to... done messin around with wahs, but i still love the silvermachine, iuse at home n studio. expensive, but like the rack wah a ton of diff tones.

It does great with both. The boost on a clean setting doesn't sound good but I don't need it on the clean stuff.
