Interested in picking up a Wah pedal with the widest range of Wah sound.

Essentially which wah pedal (vintage or new) can do the guttural low to the super high Wah sound in one full sweep?

Have always thought the Bad Horsie profile on the Kemper was awesome but never played a real one.

Thoughts?

I wouldn’t look to the Bad Horsie for that, Vai went back to Crybaby’s because the sweep is deeper than the BH’s.

The Petrucci wah is the rack wah in a pedal format with the DIP switches inside, you can dial in any sweep you want with that!

Good to know, thank you, will try to go to a store and try some crybabys out

Fulltone Clyde deluxe. It's whacked setting has a huge sweep, and it's the best sounding wah that's ever existed.

The ZW and petrucci wahs are both good, as well. Lots of people swear by the dirtnap Darrell wah but I didn't care for it.
Very cool, haven’t heard of those, will have to check them out, thanks a lot!

Definitely not the Bad Horsie; to me that one has one of the shortest

535q has a pretty big'n
Oh crazy, that’s the one I currently own! Bought it in ‘98…I must be doin it wrong lol

I’m going through and checking out wahs myself right now.
I’m not a wah guy but I’ve noticed the dime has a really short sweep. It can do a lot. I kinda have it set for a Cantrell vibe. But the foot pedal part doesn’t have much of a range like other dunlops.
The jp95 has a normal sweep. And you can pretty much do anything with it. But it’s all internal so you gotta set it and forget it.

For the real deal,
Teese Wheels Of Fire & OR Teese Wizard wah.
Those two will kick anybody’s ass all over the place.
I do dig the Fulltone and have the new
Fulltone Supa-Wah that came out just before he sold the company.
THAT!! is a DOPE AF wah pedal right there man.
The “Whacked” setting has more bite and there’s an octave/wah setting that’s RAD!!!!
And much more!!
Seriously great pedal.

It's not wild, but my favorite wah is still the Vox 847, I remember until like 1999 they never put a 9v adapter, you had to use batteries.. on them, and the day they did I was so happy

Didn't the DC jack come with the change to the 847-A? Bad trade-off, imo, since it sounds so-so, chicom, and SMD. I'll take a MIA V-847 with a few tweaks, easy TBP, and add a DC jack.

I ad both of those Teese Wahs. They each lasted less than a week. I think his original wahs were the gems. Now that they are more mass produced, they lost the magic.

I use a way made by a forum member. It does the trick, sounds awesome and was like $100.

I have a Bad Horsie 2 and wouldn't say the sweep is all that deep or vocal. I have a Full Tone Clyde Deluxe or whatever that sounds absolutely magical to be honest. It can make the Wah sounds I always heard in my head. Btw I've used that BH2 for 18 years now and haven't had issues
