I´m not much of a wah guy, but I really like the Petrucci.

FWIW I hated the Bad Horsie, it stayed on for like a second after I let it go so you can't do any sudden stops or it carries over into areas you don't want it to unless you want to try and guess when it will stop. No thanks.

It's been a while since I had one but I thought there was a way to adjust that. Maybe internal trimpot. p

I have the mini Dunlop wah also and it sounds good but feels weird and I keep turning it on and off when using it :gethim: they should make it harder to engage/disengage

Holy shit I just was on the Dunlop website and they literally have like 15 different wah pedals! Do they all do something different or is it just a gimmick to sell more wah pedals?

Ya it's kind of gotten out of hand. Reminds me of Gibson/Fender with the umpteen different versions of the same guitar

Is the Cantrell a true bypass circuit?

I do not believe so, that is why I went with the CAE Wah.

Thats a good versatile wah along with the Area 51 for my boards.

Almost afraid to ask this question, but has anyone here bought and
evaluated that McConachie McWah-2B? Heard all of the
rumors about the quirkiness of the guy running that show.

Can you actually place an order via that website, get a reasonable
turnaround and delivery or do you get a call and a process that
is different than $$$ = shipped product.

Holy smokes!! Dude "Motorpud" is the shit!! He was considering making an amp trade with me and told me no last night but then comes back 5 mins later and tells me he has a Dunlop 535Q that he'll send me to check out before I go buy one. Rig Talk is so awesome! Thanks again Motorpud!!

Mailman and him have been around along time and are good dudes. I have know a few on here like that from the beginning... Like back to 2008-2011

Like the OP I don't have a wah , but I am thinking about one . The 535Q looks to be really versatile , and great for someone like me who is not sure what they want . but I am concerned about no true bypass . Another wah I have my eye on is the Xotic wah .

I think wah's are a pedal that are very subjective depending on the player. I have a Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsey and a George Lynch Dragon 2. I would say I like the Dragon 2 a little more than the Steve Vai (why I bought it) but I also like the Vai sometimes. I really dig the filter type feature where I can "lock" the wah tone that I want to use. It sounds killer with some other effects like using a harmonizer and heavy delay with the harmonizer mix assigned to an expression pedal.

I've had a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe for a while and it's my favorite so far. I still have my Dimebag which was my only wah for many years. I still dig it but the Clyde gives me a better, big vintage quack with less top end fizz than wah's I've tried so far.

I just recently joined a band as there lead guitar player. Its been at least 8 years since I've done the band thing and I'm excited! I never really was into effects like wah and whammy but I think its time to step up my game. This band has the potential of being really good and I want to do my part as best I can.

Awww thanks big guy :inlove:

I haven't found a wah that does the quack AND smooth/vocal wah thing, seems it's either one or the other (or neither if it's a shitty wah). I generally want quack. The 535Q is really good. I have a RMC Wheels of Fire wah and it does the quack thing and that vomit-like "waaaaaaah" great but couldn't do a smooth/vocal wah if it had to. But my point is that wah can be a very personal preference thing.
