adjustable range, boost options, the works. basically the dimebag wah without the gay finish. its a work horse. love mine :)

I have one of these, and hate it with a blue passion. I adjusted and tweaked that fucker for months and couldn't get a single usable sound out of it. Also, the switch went out on mine twice. Some people just inexplicably seem to love them, though, so YMMV.

Then I got my Budda Bud-Wah, and it was love at first stomp! :inlove: It's just such a warm, vocal-sounding wah without that annoying, harsh mid-spike in the middle of the travel that a lot of wahs have. It's the smoothest, most musical wah I've ever tried, and has one of the coolest, most usable, "half-cocked", early Michael Schenker lead tones, which I love to employ from time to time.

Plus, it's true-bypass and bitchen, pimp-tastic purple, what's not to love?

i don't know if you're into modding pedals but i have a dunlop GCB-95, which is like the most basic, stock wah pedal you could buy, and i have since proceeded to mod the living crap out of this thing

i added a nice bright blue led, made it "true-bypass", added a selector switch to go between 6 different 'Q' voicings, added a switch to toggle between two different mid-range voicings, and finally added one more toggle switch to adjust the sweep in a subtle manner. I was going to add a "solo boost" button but i have it set so when i engage the pedal i already get a minor volume boost, which i think is enough.

i can honestly get a ton of really killer sounds out of this thing and i really doubt i'll ever buy any other wah pedal. All the mods are basically found on the internet, but i just did my own thing here and there. I think the modding route is really cool because once you start tweaking it really lets you find "that sound" that you're really looking for in a wah pedal.

Anyone try one of those Silvermachine Wahs? I saw the youtube video and dug it a lot but I've not really heard anything else about them.

Morley Bad Horsie II

Have it, love it. Quiet, noiseless, switchless and tunable.

the fulltone clyde deluxe is the best sounding wah i've ever heard. with the volume and q control it's great to dial in as well. mine broke 4 times though so it had to go. it's very expensive as well.

I went budda... and minus some volume issues from clean to leads it was perfect. best for the money imo.

Being that i don't use wah that much anymore, i just have an digitech ex-7 on my board. it's good when it's dialed in. not as organic sounding as the other two but good enough for someone who wants to save real estate.

Dimebag crybaby from hell. Covers a wide range and it's adjustable for different tones. I like it.

Ive various Dunlops including the 535 and the Dime. Thought they were both cool - until I played them with my Teese RMC3. Ive found it hard to find anything to bump my RMC3 as of yet. Its a tweakers wah but Geoffrey Teese gives you a bunch of different settings to get you started. I found my sound by combining settings from the RMC3 and RMC2 settings.

I've got an old Crybaby from around '71 - '73. I've played a few others over the years with the intent of replacing it with a new model. I've sold them all and still have my original.

I do however really like the HBE wah. Very nice.

+1, except look for a used one. The new PV made ones look kinda dumb IMO.

No-one has mentioned it yet, but I just picked up a BBE "The Wah" and it's absolutely killer. Super vocal tone, tuneable Q range, true bypass via 3PDT, blue LED, and full size components on the inside.

I'm loving this wah so far.

Morley - Tremonti Wah. Excellent sounding wah for High Gain. Boost. Good Buffer. Switchless! The only switchless wah that's better is the Silvermachine. For the price...IMO it's hard to beat. It's my favorite wah more or less.

BBE - Great little wah. I A/B'ed this thing with some very expensive Wahs and ended up buying it...also got Guitar Players top pick award awhile back. Some people have had some issue's with there's but so far none with mine.

Dunlop 95Q - Switchless Crybaby. Sounds real good. Very little tone suck...I use a buffer when using this pedal. Currently it's the wah on my board.

Budda - I used this wah for years...it's great. Little limited in it's range but a great simple wah. I know nothing about the Peavey made ones.

Teese - Wizard Wah. Another fantastic wah that served me well.

535Q - My least fav of all the wah's I've owned. It's a good all around wah though, just wasn't one of my favs.

Hands down the Tremonti is my fave 'cause I always come back to it. I love it. But since I like different flavors I also own the BBE and the 95Q. All work great for me...I'm not a wah maniac though.

I also loved the Wizard and the Budda when I owned them...of those 2 I'd go with the Teese. Really the Teese stuff is the best you can get along with the Area 51 stuff. But that being said...I prefer the 3 that I own, they work best for me. The Tremonti, BBE and 95Q.

With Wah's...like anything else...you gotta play them, find the sweets spots to your ear. Recommendations are great but everything is different, everybody hears things different. If i was basing my purchase simply off quality...you cannot go wrong with the Teese stuff. But sound wise...I prefer the ones I own...that why it's essential for any gear purchase in the end to really get hands on because you never know what you may like.

I use an old standard Crybaby that I have modded several times.

Good cheap foundation that you can have a lot of fun with if you are into soldering....

I have one on the way, I'm optimistic.

Dunlop Rack wah  any wah tone with or with out boost,6 Frequency choices, Q control, with or with out 6 band eq, vol control no long cable runs to or from your pedal board for signal loss just a TRS cable and controller. multiple pedals can be used at different place on the stage when your away from you pedal board.
