Make no mistake, IMO that poor clerk was murdered, and you can rest assured nobody will be charged.

Fucking animals.

He wasn't even a clerk, he was doing maintenance work and he was working for another company contracted by Walmart. It's Walmarts fault for not having enough crowd control or cops at the scene.

gotta get that 5 dollar hanna montana doll! he got in the way! :D

No, it's the people in the crowds fault. They broke down the doors, they're not only guilty of trespassing, breaking and entering and manslaughter, they're guilty of being animalistic assholes with out enough brain cells to think, and no moral or ethical code. I hope there were cameras filming and every one of them charged and put in jail for a long time.

As far as Seans ridiculous title, it's nothing more than the normal stupidity that usually comes out of his mouth when it comes to anything dealing with the US.

I too feel very sorry for the guy and his family. That's a horrible, horrible thing.

It's very well known that crowds in situations like this often act irresponsibly. It's that whole "mass hysteria" thing and you see it everywhere from the LA Riots to the soccer/football games in other countries where riots break out. There has to be a better way to deal with this. Doesn't this same crap happen every Christmas? I think so.

Whatever happened to LINES? My buddy sat in a line from 12am to 6am, first in line.. Went in first and got his tv.

I guess I'm really lucky where I live. The doors open at 4:00am, but you aren't allowed to "grab" anything, and the checkout lines don't open until 5:00. We all just stood aound the stuff we were wanting, and at 5:00 everyone just started pulling things out of the pile. It was pretty civil for the most part. The lines at the register were ridiculous, I had to wait almost an hour to pay.

Haha, sounds like my buddy. Doors opened at 6am, the sale for his tv didn't go on til 8:00am.. So he sat around next to his tv for two hours.  I couldn't do that

Yes, that is exactly what I said.

How can you possibly get defensive about this story? Good lord.

My guess is, it's because you put God Bless America in the title you stupid fuck. But then again, even to someone of your elevated intellect this is obvious so I can only guess you're playing dumb and just baiting people. Ok, I'll bite, you're a stupid fuck.

So what are you really trying to say, cloudnine?

"God Bless America"

I guess he tries to say that he isn't surprised this happened in the US, of all places in the supposedly developed West. I suspect a lot of knee-jerk reactions from people who feel embarrassed to be associated with this tragedy. :D

Pretty sad though, that greedy consumerism has to go this far that people in a developed nation are willing to trample others for a sweet deal. Society is partly to blame for creating such a hype and obsession with shopping and owning that some even seem to accept this behaviour as a sad but non-avoidable side-effect instead of as an indication something deeper has gone too far.

Didn't this happen in China in Wal-Mart too?

Wow, stereotyping and racism in one thread
along with a healthy dose of kneejerk reactionism from someone who doesnt have a clue about the area...
You don't have to know about the area, just take a good look at America and what's becoming of it from all these foreigners and illegal immigrants. On top of that, take a look at that crowd... what do they all consist of? I'm not racist, but seriously, why do you think all these minorities have all these stereotypes... because they KEEP DOING THE SAME SHIT OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

Someone said something negative about America, my asshole hurts, please help! Oh god, I hope they don't say anything bad about guns, monster trucks and pro wrestling.

Well, I hope their $10 off that DVD player was worth it.

A 34-year-old Wal-Mart worker died Friday morning after "a throng of shoppers . . . physically broke down the doors" and knocked him to the ground as the crowd pushed its way into the store at a Valley Stream mall, Nassau police said.

The man was knocked down at 5:03 a.m. at the Green Acres Mall store, and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:03 a.m.

As of Friday morning the cause of death was described as "undetermined," police said. An exact cause of death will be determined by the county medical examiner's office, police said. The man's name was not immediately made public by the police, and the store was closed.

A spokeswoman for Wal-Mart, in Bentonville, Ark., said she was unable to comment immediately, and said the company was seeking details on the incident.

Four other Wal-Mart shoppers at the Valley Stream store were taken to hospitals Friday morning. A 28-year-old pregnant woman was taken to a hospital for observation, and three other shoppers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals for treatment.

The Fifth Squad is investigating.

:salute:

Ever been to a Wal-Mart? This is not remotely surprising. Tragic?.... yes. Surprising?.......no.
