It seems like that because I'm finally in the market for one, I can't find an original Rampage and there are VERY few original Invaders on the net for sale. I really don't want the new models, although the tribute series are alright I can't bring myself to buy a non USA/MIJ guitar. Was it always this way? I've read stories from 1-2 years back where people couldn't even give away these guitars an took big hits selling them. Even the Charvel model 1/2 is hard to find. Is 80's vintage suddenly the next big thing?

I bought my Rampage 2 years ago and it was not easy to find. It also needed a restoration. The biggest issue was the Kahler needed to be completely taken apart and cleaned. I also installed new/heavier springs.

Have you checked this site

Did you check out GC.com? There are a few of those models on there, but it doesn't say where they were made. Prices were 350-800. There's also an 83 SC2 at music go round in woodbury mn for 699...US. Give them a call..maybe one is what you want. Also some Charvel model series at GC, around 400.....
