Damn these dudes are great! Not a fan of a lot of their music, but damn as they freakin good!

That's all :)

Yeah man, absolutely love it!!! Brings back so many memories. They still sound so good.

These guys were my first real concert in 79.

I really like them a lot but gained a whole new appreciation for them when I saw them on Palladia. They were great! Everything they did just worked well. Tommy Shaw was awesome!

I watched it earlier today. The keyboardist and his twirling keyboard pushed the limit on cheese for me. Truth be told they are amazing musicians though.

I saw them for the 5th time a few months ago, aside from the moment of robato cheese, they were killer.

Saw them open for ZZ Top when they were touring Eqinox and ZZ was doing Tres Hombres.

Just a killer concert.... I grew to hate the Robato era and radio spew after seeing them live rocking out. The singer was such a wang (typical). The Rockumentary on them was great. I better understood my hatred of DeYoung and his destruction of a great band. I like how Shaw broke it down, it just wasn't fun or something I want to do.

great band. They use way more gain than they are generaly given credit for.

James Young is a great counter to Shaw. Very solid band.

+1. The Singer/keyboardist was breaking the cardinal rule of never wear hair that's more than 10 years younger than you!  Amazing musicians but the cheese factor stops it from being a home run. JY plays a lot more solo's than I thought. Good player but his mannerisms were off putting. The sound mix I thought was fantastic for TV. Tommy Shaw is a gifted MF'r. Drummer overplayed a little but is a monster.

I watched it the other day....doing the Great Escape right? Good show and good playing. I don't care for their music at all, but i did watch for the musicianship. I do respect styx for their vocal harmonies.

Yes, the spinning keyboard and backwards playing was totally cheesy! Especially the air humping standing on the keyboard :gay:

Can't deny that the guy is talented though

Big Styx fan here but why is there always one guy in the band who craves attention? He's a decent singer but no comparison the Dennis DeYoung.

Great show. First time in a long time I remembered what it was like to listen to an album (or albums in the case) all the way through. The Dennis DeYoung replacement is a close second to the real thing.

Yeah, when they had that Steve McQueen double jump his motorcycle over the stage I was pretty impressed. To culminate with Charles Bronson emerging from his stage tunnel though, was the coup de grace ;)

Is it available on youtube, im oversears and wouldn't mind checking it out.

The keyboard guy is Lawrence Gowan. He's a little over the top but he nails DDY's parts.

Paleeeze, I seen you hump a mic stand on stage

Turns out they been doing it a while. Shaw and JY complement extremely well.

I haven't paid any attention to them since DeYoung left the band, perhaps I should tune in again.
