Have any of you guys tried this pick up? Does anyone know how it would compare to some of the Bareknuckle or Motor City pickup models?

I had a set in an old BC Rich Mockingbird. They were cool, but tone wise, I couldn't tell much difference between them and your normal JB inspired pickup like the Suhr Aldrich or MCP AFWAYU. They did seem to have a tighter bass than either of those models I've owned.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I have a set of underwound Afwayu's in my Jackson SL2H and for my taste they're too dark and just aren't as good as the Detroiters in my SG. The Detroiter's have more attack and are more aggressive, especially in the mids, which something I wish the Afwayu would've had.

I'd say they were brighter than the AFWAYU but not as bright as a JB.

I was interested in a Murkat bridge, but was informed by Jim via email that he's not making any Murkats at this point in time.
He didn't explain why.

i have a murkat set

it does what they set out to do.

make a floyd loaded superstrat sound like a fatter hard tial strat with a fatter less honky jb.
