Anti-immigration ? You realize that when you say shit like that immediately you are no longer taken seriously. It's like calling semi automatic handguns "Automatic weapons" or calling AR-15s "Assault weapons". Everyone knows it's manipulation and misdirection. No one is anti-immigration. People who sneak into the country illegally are not "Immigrants".

So you are against borders. How many "Immigrants" do you have living with you and your family ? Do you have locks on your door ? You guys are all the same. You talk all this shit about "No human is illegal" but you aren't using YOUR resources to help any of them. Only your mouth. You want it to be a free for all, put up or shut up. Let them move in with you.

There certainly are a lot of people who are against immigration of any kind, including legal immigrants. And there is plenty of hateful rhetoric being used in media. Everyone has seen it. That's what I was calling attention to about Pope Leo.

I'm not against borders or keeping illegal immigration to a minimum so long as it's done legally and sensibly.

That's funny because pretty much the only media I consume is what you would call right wing and I can't recall hearing anyone or reading about anyone who was against LEGAL immigration.

That doesn't surprise me. I think right wing media curates news just like the LW media does for its audience. I also think traditional RW media tends to focus on illegal immigration almost exclusively from the executive viewpoint and doesn't have much to say about the vile stuff that's happening in social media. Meanwhile people are out there are calling all non-white immigrants subhuman trash, crying about white replacement theory, etc. It's very nasty and it's getting more prevalant in mainstream audiences, IMO. Hard to know if there are real people behind it, or bots and troll farms trying to stir the pot.

Social Media ? You mean the same places that try to convince us that transgenders are a significant portion of the general population ?

This place and one other forum is the extent of my "Social" media.

If you want to ignore the substance of what I'm saying and launch into completely unrelated stuff over and over then fine. I mean, we can have a discussion. I'm all for it. But I'm not going to take that bait.

Unrelated. I've been trying to coax you into providing a legitimate source for your assertion that there is an abundance of anti-immigrant sentiment. The best you could do was "Social media". I merely pointed out that even though lazy, legacy media outlets often use Twitter and FB as a source for a "Story", from a journalistic or objective POV, social media is not a source for any fact. Certainly it is not proof of wide spread racism and anti-immigrant "Hateful rhetoric" as you say.

Speaking of relevance, given the context, an example of it here on this forum would be relevant. As it is your statement is just another random biased opinion.

You want me to prove racism and anti-immigrant propaganda exists on social media? Lol, no thanks. That sounds like a terrible waste of my time. I don't know how wide spread it is but it does seem to be more in the open these days. Used to be that kind of stuff was contained to places like Stormfront or 4chan. But, it is showing up a lot in Facebook, Reddit, Twitter and esp. Disqus.

I'm not going to look for an example of it here either. I didn't join the forum so I could accuse people of being racist. I know I definitely disagree with some views here but I haven't seen anything like the stuff I'm talking about.

But in reality I don't care if you prove it or not. As I pointed out a couple posts back it's just another random internet dude's biased opinion. Referring to social media as media might explain that. :ROFLMAO:
 
His grandfather was Italian and came to NY way way back............pretty cool family history about the Pope.....they were originally named the Rigitanos and then name was changed to Prevos after marriage.



He pretty much looks just like his grandfather....



 
Former Roman catholic , now protestant Reformed/Presbyterian. Still hoping and praying for the reformation of the existing catholic church. The whole existing catholic hierarchy is illegitimate according to scripture....
