Just like the poor......demagogues will always be with us.

History may not exactly repeat itself, but many times over rhymes.

Not hard at all to draw paralells between earlier 20th century Weimar Republic and certain contemporary geopolitical/economic constructs.

Despite all the technical advances over millenia, humanity's progress slowly creaks along with the hulking tarkus at times taking a step forward and two or more steps backwards.

We are a species of contradictions, but yet somehow we prevail.
