Weber C1225 w/ pre-rola doping users - yay or nay

What's the consensus on these?

I've got a quad in a '72 Marshall A cab and I'm not really jiving with them with humbuckers. With single coils they sound good, but w/ my HB guitar, I keep going back and tinkering with the EQ (I play a 100w Super Lead), something I never did with my V30 4x12 cab. Dare I say the V30's sounded better!?

Are you they dark sounding?

I have one in a 1x12 cab that I do not believe is doped. It does not sound dark. I have some Weber Legacy's (pre-rola doped) in a 4x12 and they are dark sounding.
