I was thinking about trying it out since i have a couple 75's in my other cab...just to see if it sounds decent. I'm still undecided on wether or not i'm gonna keep the V30's in with the webers. It sounds good just....a little dominantly V30, the V30's have a 100 db sensitivity, and the webers i understand are 97 or 98db?....
Anyways - just wondering if anyone's ever tried this combo and how it sounded.
Btw my legacies are 55hz 50oz magnets 65 watts large dust cap.

I'm not mixing them in the same cab but currently running a 1960B with 75s next to a Mesa 212 (stood vertical) with weber legacy 65w 75hz small dust cap and a weber Gray Wolf. They sound very different ( the 75s being much brighter and more sizzle, the webers darker, smoother and more mids with less top end).

IMO they compliment each other alright but moving to either side and getting in front of either cab is strange for a second, then my ears adjust. Obviously the cab plays a huge part in a speakers tone and performance and based on that I think they would sound good together in a 412 where they could push air and react the same way. I also liked the legacy/v30 mix and the legacy/gray wolf mix is pretty cool in the Mesa cab.

I just went ahead and put the V30's back in. Or am in the process of doing that lol. Just because i play quite a bit of lower gain classic rock/blues stuff, and the V30's are better for that than the 75's. I have these celestion "V12L's" here, which were made for crate by celestion, in england around 2002 i think? I got a wild hair and decided to try them mixed with the webers. Just because they're 97db speakers also, and i wanted to see if i could hear the webers a little better as compared to mixed with the overpowering V30's. And i could actually. My legacy's are 55hz 50oz 65 watt large dustcap - and i could hear their low end response quite a bit better actually. So now i'm contemplating getting a couple 75hz webers to mix with them.
And actually - these V12L's didn't sound bad at all - they're G12M greenbacks with a 20oz magnet. 25 watts i think. They sounded good - untill i hit the OD channel lol...a little thin. But i just wanted to try them. They're only 25 watts anyways and don't need a 100 watt JVM raping their ass lol. They'd be good in a 2x12 for a low watt amp i think.

Im sorry V12L's are celestion G12L's with a green chassis. Not G12M's
